CHRISTMAS PRINCE of PEACE

Do you desire Peace in your life? I cannot imagine anyone wants the opposite (chaos, stress, sadness, emptiness).
My life, like yours, has an ebb and flow but we all yearn for peace- a lasting inner peace.

What robs you of peace?
Whether we lead ourselves astray by our choices or tragedy strikes, one path to true peace does exist.
Read below how you can finally have real PEACE.

Jesus is the Prince of PEACE!

Read this Christmas Devotional from Dr. Charles Stanley based on Isaiah 9:6-7 and may it bless you.
"Today’s Bible passage is a Christmas favorite. We love that a child was born in a stable, and that God’s Son was given from heaven.
We also derive great comfort from His names—“Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” (v. 6).

But now and then we may wonder why the world is so chaotic and unstable if Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Although this verse is ultimately a prediction of Christ’s future kingdom, the title also reflects His reason for coming to earth 2,000 years ago and His present ministry to us today.

New Iranian BIBLE Launched As God Is At Work in Iran

Elam Ministries has unveiled a new Persian (Farsi) translation of the Bible. It is the culmination of a meticulous 20 year translation project.
I was so joyful as I read the email I received from Elam celebrating the London dedication of their new Bible, known as the 'New Millennium Version'.

According to an article by Evangelical Alliance, "Elam's goal is to print 300,000 copies of this new Bible in the next three years, helping to evangelize and disciple hundreds of thousands in Iran."

This is welcome news.

According to the Operation World website, Iran has the fastest growing Evangelical population in the entire world! (Afghanistan is 2nd)
Iran Alive's website states, "more Persians have come to Christ in the 33 years since the Islamic revolution of 1979, than in the 1400 prior years…combined!
The majority of these have come in the last 10 years, since the launch of Christian satellite TV broadcasts."
By some estimates there are at least 350,000 believers in Iran as compared to 500 in 1979.

You may ask "how has this happened?"
In my view, clearly God is at work in Iran.

God is Always with You For All Eternity

We just took our oldest son Alexander to college, an oftentimes unsettling change for parents and their children. In transitions such as this, God comforts each of us in different ways.
When you drop off your child and give them the "see ya later" hug,
each of us experiences that moment in our own personal way. I am so thankful that through God's grace and mercy I am His child.
As believers, you and I can trust that God is Good and He is always with our children near or far.

On the 4 hour drive back home, I opened my email to find the devotional below. It was no coincidence. God was at work to remind and assure me and my family that we are His forever and He is always at our side.

I quickly forwarded the email to my husband and our boys. God put it on my heart to share it with You...
In a rare move, I am posting that Jesus Calling devotional. May you be blessed by this post and may God give you His peace!

I am Yours for All Eternity.

I am the Alpha and the Omega: the One who is and was and is to come.

The world you inhabit is a place of constant changes—more than your mind can absorb without going into shock.

Even the body you inhabit is changing relentlessly, in spite of modern science’s attempts to prolong youth and life indefinitely

I, however, am the Same yesterday and Today and Forever.

Because I never change, your relationship with Me provides a Rock-Solid foundation for your life.
I will Never Leave Your Side.

God's Blessings Are Available

God desires to bless us. Today I read this prayer and had to share it. Candid, thankful and hopeful, it represents what I believe and seek. May you be blessed.

Dear God,
"Thank you for a new day. I know that everything I am and everything I have is a result of what you have allowed in my life. Sometimes life is very hard;
other times it is full of happiness.

I know you are always there and your blessing is available...if only I will listen and obey.

Please help me to recognize the gifts you send and the doors you open each and every day.
Give me wisdom to see and do your Will.
Thank you for the spiritual gifts you have given, also.
I pray that you will use those gifts to work in and through me to minister to the world and draw people to you.
In Jesus' name I pray and give you praise." Amen.

You may wonder, what is a "blessing" according to the Bible?

Gods primary and greatest blessing is His forgiveness given only to those who believe and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Read How to Receive Eternal Salvation - Say YES to God

"The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
he Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
-Numbers 6:24-26

Memorial Day The American Soldier and Jesus

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul and both died for your freedom.
On this Memorial Day let us give thanks in remembrance of all the brave men and women who died while serving in our Armed Forces. And let us thank God for Jesus who died for all mankind to free us from sin, judgment and eternal separation from God.

To learn more about Jesus read How to Receive Eternal Salvation

If you believe that Jesus died for your sins, you will have eternal life.

"For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day." John 6:40

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

The good news is the God loves us and wants a relationship with us. God in his mercy sent Jesus to live a life free of sin and die on the cross for our sins, so we may freely approach the throne of our Holy God.

Jesus is the way to God.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Abba Father I Pray

Abba Father as I watch a cloudless sky begin to awaken,
the bunnies hop, the birds' chirp mixed with crickets' song.
It is serene. It is lovely. It is good.
The sun innocently breaks the horizon, softly lighting the hilltop.
A summer breeze is cool, not hinting at the heat to come,
yet there are no birds in flight.
The morning innocent and calm.

I lift my eyes skyward. I seek your face and pray.
Father of all mercy and tenderness, patient and kind
You have been good to me thy servant.
All the years of my life you have guided me, although I was often unaware.
You saved me from harms way so many times.
I see your hand in all things.

I don't deserve your love yet you lavish it upon me.
Forgive me and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus.
Use me as a vessel through which You bless others.

Light my path.
Teach me Your ways, for I am prone to selfishness.
Give me Your wisdom for surely my own is riddled with flaws.
Show me Your will, for I desire to do it

I want to serve you well, according to your plans for me.
I am yours, yet sadly I am prone to wander.
I allow myself to be enticed away.
Keep me on the straight and narrow path to you.

Open my heart fully to you.
Open the hearts & minds of those I love who are far from you,
so they may know You and accept Jesus as Lord.
Let me be about your business.

Here I am. Send me!

What does ABBA mean? It is an Aramaic word. Jesus used it 3 times in the New Testament of the Bible. Most notably in the  garden of Gethsemane.
"Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." - Mark 14:36
´Abbā´ is an intimate word like "daddy", a term of endearment used by Jesus, the only son of God to his Father.
The Jews of the time would not have addressed God in such an informal way for their relationship with Him was not the same as the Son of God.
Today through Jesus, all Christians can have a deep, personal relationship with God. As a child of God, I love to pray Abba, Father. It warms my heart and I feel such joy and peace.
If you do not know God and want to know him, love him and be his child
